School Site Council
Overview
The School Site Council (SSC) is an advisory committee that assists the school staff in developing and implementing the Single School Plan for Student Achievement. The SRTMS School Site Council consists of four parents, four staff (including 3 teachers), and the Principal. The parents are elected by parents and the teachers are elected by teachers. This council is equally representative of parents and school staff.
The council meets approximately four times for 1.5 hours. Meetings are open to all parents and staff; however, only SSC members have voting rights. Any parent or legal guardian of an SRTMS student is eligible to be nominated unless employed by the school.
