Service Learning Program

Our Service Learning year runs from May 2, 2023, to May 1, 2024.  This program is specifically for 8th-grade students.  If 6th and 7th-grade students wish to participate, they can work individually with Mr. Borchard to earn an award for the year.

To earn a certificate and be recognized, you must log your hours and have them verified by an adult supervisor.

To EARN hours, volunteer your time in some of these ways:

  • service to non-profit groups such as the PTA, Red Cross, Relay for Life, the Animal Shelter, local hospitals, or other charities
  • service to non-profit clubs such as Girl or Boy Scouts, 4-H, or sports leagues
  • service to religious institutions (your church, synagogue, temple, or mosque)
  • unpaid service to senior citizens.

RECORD your hours on your log and have an adult supervisor sign your log.

DEADLINES: Turn in your completely filled-in Service Learning Log by MAY 10, 2024.

AWARDS are given to 8th graders at promotion. 

To claim your award, fill in the service hour log for the SRTMS Award and follow all of the same instructions that apply.
