The focus for the next two weeks will be CAASPP testing. The students are ready to show what they know, and SRTMS will perform well once again this year. CAASPP testing takes precedence over all other events and activities until we are finished. If your child is in third through eighth grade, please ensure they understand to do their best and take their time. You can help by ensuring your child gets good sleep, has a healthy breakfast, and arrives at school on time. Testing will run from 8:30 AM until recess/nutrition break. If your child is late, they must wait in the office until the test is complete before entering class.

Open House is getting close. It is our annual learning showcase, and we invite all families to attend. We will have Kona Ice, but no food trucks this year. The schedule is below.

6:30 - 7:00 - Shop the Book Fair; Shop for Spirit Wear; and socialize (No playing on the playground)

SRTMS is thrilled to announce that the Scholastic Book Fair will be held from Tuesday, May 27th, to Friday, May 30th! We're excited to offer this fantastic opportunity to encourage literacy and a love of reading in all our students.

TK-5th grade students will visit the Book Fair with their classes, and middle school students can browse during Friday's lunch period. Please watch for information from your student's teacher about their class's scheduled visit.

The most convenient way for your student to shop is with an e-Wallet, a digital gift card that makes checkout quick and easy. This is especially helpful for our younger students, as it eliminates the worry of lost cash. We also accept cash and credit cards at the fair, but we recommend against sending credit cards to school with your student.

If you are leaving PVSD entirely, please be sure to fill out the Request to Un-enroll Form to ensure that records are delivered to your new school as efficiently as possible. This is not required for parents of 8th grade students.

The after-school dance dates for April and part of May are:

5/15 - No class. The teacher is out.

5-20 - Tuesday - TK-2nd

5-22 Thursday - 3rd-5th

5-22 - Dance ends for 2024-2025

Remember the time for dance is 2:30-3:30 PM.
